To our  relatives,  friends,  and  to-be-friends  !

We regret cancelling  the Christmas treat planned for  the community of Brookside, Bagong Silangan, Quezon City, Philippines, our usual beneficiaries.   Instead, we have diverted all current and  future funds of New East, Inc.  to buy emergency necessities for the calamity victims of the Visayan islands, especially Tacloban City, province of Leyte, Philippines.

Through the kindness of the Franciscan Missionaries of Mary (FMM), we shall try to help our poor suffering  people who survived the calamities that  befell on them the past month; namely, the earthquake, followed by the severe, vicious typhoon/cyclone named  Haiyan or Yolanda  on Nov  8, 2013.

All donations will be added to the funds that will buy FOOD, DRINKING WATER and BLANKETS  for the abovementioned  victims .

For those of you who have either donated or are planning to donate to New East, Inc. for this cause:  Thank  you very much for your gift of love, a sign of your faith in action, a fitting response to the Catholic Church’s  Year of our Faith.

New East, Inc. is still in dire need of funds to buy those emergency necessities for our dear brothers and sisters in Christ who are hungry, homeless and hopeless right now in those affected Visayan islands.  All monies will be turned over to the FMM who untiringly and unceasingly take care of poor people.  Even though the FMM nuns do not have a convent in Leyte, still, they are there to help as much as they can.  They only need your financial assistance as they do not receive any remuneration or salaries for the work they do.  Like  Blessed Mother Teresa, they labor only for the love of Christ.

We, the directors and volunteers  of New East,Inc., thank you from the bottom of our hearts.  Please send now your pledge, check or coins to:
